Our mantra is: align, design, launch, guide, and measure.
Our promise is that we'll be there, as questions or issues arise, every step of the way.
Developing a mentoring strategy starts with alignment with your most critical talent management and DEI initiatives. During discovery, we will work to understand the current state and future state objectives, develop a strong purpose statement to anchor mentoring to the client's organization, and complete a prioritized experience roadmap for effective implementation.
After the prioritized roadmap is complete, we will work with you to design your unique mentoring experiences. This will include the structure, schedule/timing, matching methodology, and participant expectations.
Once an experience is designed, planning for launch begins. We work with you to deliver an Implementation Toolkit to help successfully launch your first mentoring experience. The toolkit will include: Launch Plan & Schedule, Communications Plan, Branded Promotional & Training Materials, and Mentor Recruitment Plan.
Software is essential to successfully scale mentoring. Mentoring software helps to facilitate the organization and management of effective programs by matching mentors and mentees, scheduling, and tracking progress. Pulse surveys are designed to capture small bits of information about a mentoring program and experiences throughout the lifecycle. This will help you identify any red-flag relationships & gauge the engagement and satisfaction at various stages throughout the participant journey. We work with you through the design of the survey so that they are getting effective, manageable, and actionable information.
Measuring program and experience effectiveness is important to not only understand the engagement with the program, but also whether or not it is delivering the desired outcomes. We will work with your analytics team to determine the right measurements, including leading and lagging indicators, and control for the unique known variables. We will work with the software provider and internal IT to develop a plan to ensure the right data is available in the right place for dashboard reporting.
Successful mentoring programs require enough mentors to support the demand. This can be difficult, especially as you move up the ranks in an organization. This process includes a plan built on marketing concepts and customized to your business needs in order to have maximum effectiveness with minimal business disruption.
A governance model defines the methods, structure, and interfaces through which decisions are made, outcomes are evaluated and transformation is accomplished. It engages key stakeholders, establishes policies and procedures, balances key responsibilities, and spreads change accountability throughout the organization.
Participants need support along their mentoring journey. We will provide a plan of resources, information, and tools to support each focus area within each experience, leveraging the mentoring software, MentorStrat Academy, and your internal tools.
Each employee needs different development, guidance, and connections at different stages in their career. The uniqueness of each employee’s journey introduces learning and development complexities. Some companies choose to create Employee Journey Maps to better understand the moments that matter in each employee's experience from hire to retire. This process would involve conducting employee research or analyzing engagement data, developing employee personas, identifying the moments that matter in the journey (stages), creating a journey map, and looking at each stage in the journey to see where employees might get lost or become frustrated; taking action to smooth out any bumps in the journey. This can be tied directly to mentoring as a solution, but can also be useful for redesigning processes, training, and other learning initiatives.
We all react differently to change. Some will be eager to engage with the new program while others may be hesitant. Some will adopt right away, some will take a "wait and see approach". It is important to understand all the risks to a successful change and develop an organizational change management plan to mitigate those risks. This process includes a stakeholder assessment and change management plan development.
